Hello everyone!
Below are some of the exciting things going on across the agency!
Admin/General Reminders
Please remember that the Karen E. Gordon Scholarship is now accepting applications. The application is available for download on the intranet and on our website.
Also, CEO has launched a new initiative called Seeds for Success. CEO will be helping to fund one or multiple small projects in the community that are aimed at supporting the needs of our community. Individuals and non-profit organizations looking to kickstart or support a new initiative can apply. The application is available on our website.
WIC VMA
WIC VMA has its annual Compliance and Preparedness Assessment this month conducted by NYS Department of Health (DOH). It’s a comprehensive review of our policies and procedures; involving the completion of several self-assessment tools and concludes with a site visit from an auditing team from DOH. The outcome has always been very favorable in the past and the program plans to continue the tradition!
Foster Grandparent Program
The Foster Grandparent Program has two trainings this month. On the 14th at JLB, the Rensselaer, Warren, Washington and Saratoga County grandparents will be here.
On the 28th, the Albany, Schenectady and Columbia County grandparents will train at the Salvation Army in Albany.
The program is also working on the National Mayor’s Day on April 1st. Staff are planning an Advisory Council Meeting and working on the special Spring Recognition Lunch to be held on April 25th.
