As of Friday, March 12th, Governor Cuomo signed legislation to provide up to four hours of paid leave time for each Covid-19 injection appointment. To be eligible for this leave time please submit proof of your completed vaccination appointment to ceohr@ceoempowers.org .
As you are all aware, there is much conversation amongst your peers and the community about whether or not to get vaccinated. This is a very personal decision and we encourage everyone to be educated on the details and make this decision for themselves. Please note, Beginning March 17, the following essential workers are eligible for a vaccination:
- Public-facing government and public employees
- Not-for-profit workers who provide public-facing services to New Yorkers in need
- Essential in-person public-facing building service workers
