Once again we are offering FREE tax preparation here at CEO through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program or VITA.
In-person tax appointments are being offered to eligible tax payers every Wednesday from now until April 10th at our new CRC Bridge Building.
To be eligible for CEO VITA services, in 2024 you must:
- Be a US citizen or green card holder, or married to one
- Have a household income of less than $60,000 or less
- Have worked in New York State
- Have not receive income from rental property
- Have not receive military pay
- Have not sold a house, stocks, bonds or other financial assets in 2023
- Have not declared bankruptcy in 2023
- Have not sold, exchanged, or otherwise disposed of virtual currency in 2023
- And, if you are self-employed, you don’t have any employees or inventor/depreciation/ business expenses worth more than $5,000
We have a wonderful group of eager and knowledgeable volunteers ready to go and lots of appointment spaces to fill! This includes some available appointments this upcoming Wednesday January 31st.
Appointment times are between 9:15am-1:45pm on Wednesdays and take approximately an hour depending on the level of complication. If in-person doesn’t work for you or your customer, we are still offering fully virtual tax preparation as well.
