As know, CEO had the opportunity this year to once again continue our long-time Thanksgiving collaboration with Unity House and also take part in the new Thanksgiving efforts of the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern NY. The distribution location is the 6th Ave parking lot directly across from Unity House near the intersection of Hoosick Street. This site will be distributing 600 Thanksgiving meal packages, along with 75 prepared meals. It’s going to be a huge volunteer effort, and while we have a number of community partners and board members signed up to help, we wanted to extend that to staff too.
We know it’s a busy time of year, but if you are interested and able to volunteer for a few hours please sign up through the below registration form. The event organizers are seeking help between 7:30am-3:30pm, but staff can sign up for two hour increments. Due to the nature of this event, all volunteers must be 18+ years old and capable of lifting. Thank you!
