CDPHP Life Points is a benefit available to CDPHP Insurance customers. Life Points is an annual program that follows the calendar year, (January 1st – December 31st every year) and CDPHP policy holders can earn up to 180 life points (aka dollars) which can be redeemed in CDPHP’s CafeWell store for gift cards to a variety of stores, restaurants and services.

How do you earn Life Points?
I do the personal life assessment every year because that is worth 60 points right off the bat. Each point is equivalent to a dollar in the CafeWell store. The Assessment is good too because you can get tips on how to improve your overall health. Other programs that I do range from managing money (financial health), or a sleep education program, or nutritious eating. I get points for preventative vaccinations and care, like getting my flu shot and yearly checkups every year. You get 10 points for each shot, including the COVID-19 vaccine!
How long does the average program take?
I like to do the low-hanging fruit first. So I start with the programs that don’t require a daily commitment of time. I always do the personal health assessments first to earn my easy 60 points, and then I move on to the week-long + programs and challenges. Most of those programs and challenges are around 12 days. You’ll be prompted to track things like your sleep habits or how you are doing with eating a nutritious breakfast while completing each program. It’s a small daily commitment to complete your tracking.
When do you usually start working on the Life Points?
I do mine as soon as January 1st, the earliest day you can!
What kind of gift cards have you redeemed your points for in the past?
I’ve done Marshalls/TJ Maxx, Walmart, Amazon, Nike, and Express. You can split your points up among stores too, and you can get gift cards in increments as low as $10, so you have a lot of flexibility.
What are some of your favorite purchases you’ve made with your gift cards?
From Marshall’s I’ve redecorated my room with a new bed set! From Nike I bought a pair of sneakers for the gym from the Nike Outlet, so that was a healthy choice too!
This year I paid for an entire grocery trip with a Walmart gift card.
Anything else you want other CDPHP customers to know?
Use it! It’s free money sitting on the table, and they have a lot of stores and places like Panera and Target to redeem your points for gift cards, so there’s really something for everyone. Get yourself something nice!
