We are excited to announce that we will again be joining forces with Unity House and Capital Roots to offer Thanksgiving food baskets to customers. By working together for the past several years, we have been able to offer better quality food, including fresh local produce from Capital Roots and their network of local farmers, along with more efficient delivery of services through our partners at Unity House.
Here is the eligibility criteria that must be met:
- Customers must have used at least one CEO service within the last 12 months
- Customers must be in a household of 2 or more
- Households of 5+ will be eligible to receive 2 Food packages
- Limit is 2 food packages
- Household’s must be under 200% of Poverty and must provide proof of income at appointment
- Proof of income includes:
- Pay stubs (2 bi-weekly, 4 weekly)
- Documentation of a qualifier such as current SNAP benefits or TNAF
- SSI/SSD award letter
- Unemployment document
Along with produce, each customer will get an assortment of dry goods and a $15 gift certificate for their main dish. Intake will be completed in-person, by appointment or during walk-in hours only. In order for customers to receive an appointment card all supporting documents must be presented in- person at the time of intake. Once intake is complete customers will receive their appointment card. Appointments for pick-up for both CEO and Unity House will be at our Community Resource Center (2328 5th Ave) either Monday, November 20th & Tuesday, November 21st.
Sign-ups starts Monday, October 16th . There are a limited number of food packages available, so our neediest customers and customers who express interest should be encouraged to enroll as soon as possible. Customers can find out the weekly walk-in hours or schedule an appointment by calling:

Customers can also sign up and reserve a package(s) at Unity House if they meet the criteria outlined by Unity House.
