Over the last several months, we have embarked on a very important Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) journey to create the agency’s DEIB statement. Fundamentally, our agency’s pledge to advance diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging among our employees, stakeholders, and customers is rooted in our history as a Community Action Agency. In December of 2022, we formed a committee consisting of a cross-section of agency staff and leaders to spearhead the development of our DEIB statement. In addition, we engaged Integra HR to assist us in the process.
During the next few weeks, committee members will be having discussions with their respective departments and/or functional areas to get feedback and suggestions regarding the DEIB phrases that have been developed to date.

Members will be in contact with departments directly. This round of discussion is aimed at capturing feedback from a cross-section of the agency, but as we progress and the agency grows and evolves, so will our DEIB statement and initiatives. As mentioned above, this initiative is a journey, so please know you will have future opportunities to continue to provide feedback and comments into our DEIB process.
