As you are aware, over the last several months, we have embarked on a very important Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) journey to create CEO’s DEIB statement. Fundamentally, our agency’s pledge to advance diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging among our employees, stakeholders, and customers is rooted in our history as a Community Action Agency. Over the past several months, our DEIB committee has spearheaded the efforts in the development of our statement, which included obtaining feedback from CEO team members, and engaging with an HR partner, Integra HR.
We are excited to announce and share that with the support of the DEIB committee we have finalized CEO’s DEIB statement! We believe this statement captures and represents our actions and beliefs around DEIB at this moment and will be integrated into our onboarding and all agency practices. We thank everyone who provided feedback on the initial drafts. We will be continually assessing and updating our DEIB statement as we grow and change as an agency.
CEO – DEIB Statement
CEO strives to create a culture of inclusion and belonging where everyone can be their authentic selves and feel respected, valued, and safe regardless of their background, perspective, culture, and experience. We pledge to use our community presence to strengthen the diverse voices of our families, team members, and community partners. Collectively we empower all to achieve economic security throughout their life stages by providing access to inclusive education, health, nutrition, and energy conservation programs.
